Unlike all the other posts in this series, this one is a little different. I'm sharing this for those who have friends going back to school after they've graduated. And no, I'm not talking about high school seniors. I'm referring to the college graduates who will be attending a professional school this fall. This particular package is for a friend of mine who is starting medical school in 2 weeks. I'm sending this to her as a send-off on her first day! Find out what I put inside below :) While a new school is always a scary experience, it's a little bit different (I'd like to think) once you go to graduate school. At that point, you've already had the "most terrifying" transition from high school to college- so I didn't think it was particularly appropriate to give her the "typical" survival kit. (I did make one for a college freshman friend, which you can see here). Instead, I decided to put together little trinkets which were cute yet functional. After all, med school is still med school. And I'm sure anything helps with all the studying- even if it's as simple as cute sticky notes. My friend also loves stationary so what better way to start off the school year with something she likes? All of these I picked up from Michael's- aside from the small card, which I got from a small boutique by The Shore. Like I said, I stuck to the stationary aka cute school supplies theme. I also included this monogram which she can use as wall decor or a door sign. I made it from letters I found on one of my many trips to the store. They were on clearance for a $1 (the larger one) and $0.50 each (smaller ones). What a deal! And making it was so easy! I hot glued the letters together and stuck them onto white cardstock for additional support. All I had to after was to cut out the excess paper and then done! I cannot wait for my friend to receive this package! (And to also share more gift ideas with you!)
